Technology
Overview
The Technology Department consists of professionals dedicated to technology systems and processes necessary to support the educational mission of the Cumberland Valley School District. We are responsible for the management and oversight of all forms of technology in the district. This list includes hardware, software, classroom technology integration and instruction, networking, telecommunications, student data, and security.
There are currently 12,500 computers and mobile devices deployed throughout the district, consisting of desktop, laptop and tablet computers that are all networked and have Internet services. Each building has a TV studio capable of recording and live broadcasting to the entire building. Every instructional classroom has an interactive digital projector. The district continues to implement new technologies and innovative ideas in the classroom. The district’s technology infrastructure is maintained by 10 full-time and 6 part-time employees that support some 11,000 users.
