News from the Nest:

2018-19 Silver Spring Elementary Kindergarten Registration:
Silver Spring  Elementary School is looking for kindergarten students for the 2018-19 school year. Students need to turn 5 years old on, or before September 1, 2018. Visit our website beginning February 12, 2018 to complete the online registration forms. To begin the registration process, go to http://www.cvschools.org/about_us/central_registration/2018-2019_kindergarten_registration. Silver Spring Kindergarten Registration will be March 7th at Silver Spring. Schoology Training Sessions:
There is still time to sign up for our Face to Face Schoology training sessions which will be available for parents on February 15 at 6:00 PM in the IMC, just prior to the PTO meeting and February 20 at 6:30 PM, also in our IMC. If you are interested in attending one of these sessions, please complete a form indicating your intent to attend. For each of these sessions we ask that you bring a device which you can use to connect to Schoology and have already ensured that you are able to log into the Parent Access portal.

Make-Up Days:
School will now be in session on Friday , February 16 AND Tuesday  February 20, 2018, as these are the first make-up day and the second make-up day designated on the school calendar. Please note that these are make-up days for our school closures on February 7 and January 17.

Feb 15 – Schoology Parent Training at 6:00; PTO Meeting at 6:30 – both in the IMC
Feb 16 – School in Session (Makeup from February 7)
Feb 19 – NO SCHOOL President’s Day
Feb 20 – Schoology Parent Training at 6:30; School in Session (Makeup from January 17); Cultural Day
Feb 23 – Bingo Night @ 6:30-9:00
