Hello Middlesex Families, 

I hope you are enjoying the warmer weather today! We have had an eventful week at Middlesex with lots of rigourous learning taking place! I would like to take this opportunity to thank a community member for their generous donation to the Middlesex Environmental Club. It is so nice to have the support for this program!! Just a reminder that there is no school for students on March 15th as we observe Martin Luther King, Jr. "The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically.  Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education." - Martin Luther King, Jr.  

CV Mini-THON at Middlesex:
On Friday, January 19th, Middlesex students will be participating in our second Mini-THON. Last year, our students were able to raise $1,697.00! A huge accomplishment- all ForThe Kids! Members of CV Mini-THON from the high school are excited to lead the students through a variety of activities- dancing, crafts, a skit, and games. Prizes will be awarded throughout the day for enthusiasm and spirit! At the end of the day, students will attend an assembly to celebrate their fundraising efforts.  If you would like to donate to CV Mini-THON, your child may bring in money to school anytime including the last day the 19th, or money can be donated online to our school's donor drive at: https://fourdiamonds.donordrive.com/participant/Middlesex-Elementary. Make sure to include the student's name with the donation. Thank you again for your continued support!

2018-19 Middlesex Elementary Kindergarten Registration:
Middlesex Elementary School is looking for kindergarten students for the 2018-19 school year. Students need to turn 5 years old on, or before September 1, 2018. To begin the registration process, go to http://www.cvschools.org/about_us/central_registration/2018-2019_kindergarten_registration. Middlesex Kindergarten Registration will be March 22nd at Middlesex.  If you have any questions, please contact the Middlesex Office or Central Registration at 717-506-3399 or [email protected].

PTO Updates...
Thank you to our PTO Board for coming together this week to discuss and plan for upcoming events at Middlesex. If anyone is interested in getting more involved with the PTO, and would like to be part of the executive board (president, vice-president, secretary, or treasurer) please reach out to the school office, Mrs. Eldridge, or a PTO Board Member. We are currently in need of additional board members to ensure that what the PTO does for Middlesex continues to be strong!!
