Hello Middlesex Families,

PTO Updates...
Thank you to Middlesex PTO for their continued hard work and dedication to providing many fun and engaging activities for our students, families, and staff! We had our monthly meeting and many good ideas are in the works and the planning and organization of these events continues. Click here to view the minutes from this meeting. We would love to see more families come out to share their ideas during these monthly meetings. The PTO is always looking for any additional volunteers to help run and assist with committees; any extra support would be greatly appreciated. A special thank you goes out to a Middlesex family member that made a generous donation to support our Middlesex PTO!!

Conference Reminder....
Thank you to all of the families that came out to Middlesex for your child's conference on Thursday evening. The home/school connection is essential to your child's success in school. We each play such an important part in their education. The next opportunity to meet with your child's teacher will be November 20th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. If you have not signed up for a conference time yet, please reach out to your child's teacher via e-mail or contact the school office at (717) 249-5586.

Outside recess and colder weather....
The weather is slowly turning colder, unless the wind chill temperature falls below 17 degrees, our classes do go outside for recess in cold weather. Please be sure your child wears appropriate clothing to school for outside recess.

District Level Information....
Do you or someone you know have an interest in making an impact in the life of students? What better way to bring in the new year than becoming certified to help kids? At CV, we're constantly looking for dedicated adults who want to help our kids grow, and now is the time! Our substitutes have the flexibility to pick and choose when and where they want to work! 

Individuals who are interested in becoming a professional (teaching) or support staff (food service, custodial, educational/special education aide, etc.) substitute can complete the necessary paperwork by following the link: http://www.cvschools.org/support_operations/human_resources.  All professional substitutes will be required to hold a PA Teaching Certificate or be emergency certified. Obtaining emergency certification is easy,follow the link: http://www.cvschools.org/support_operations/human_resources, for upcoming trainings and eligibility requirements!
