Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE)

Content: Is your schedule too busy to fit an agriculture course, yet you still want to qualify for FFA membership? If this is the case, you can elect to create an independent study course. This course will use the FFA Supervised Agriculture Experience as its model. Projects can include, but are not limited to: livestock, greenhouse management, nursery management agriculture research, and conservation. Students who elect to take this course must meet independently with the instructor and meet individualized project deadlines. Several visits to the project site are part of this course. Students may also opt to complete an Agriscience Fair project to exhibit at the Pennsylvania Farm Show or participate in four (4) FFA Career Development Events (CDE) to complete course requirements. Contact Ms. Romberger ([email protected]), Mrs. Weyer ([email protected]), or visit the Ag Room (138) for more information.
