A Harrisburg native, Coach Leitzell spent her high school years playing field hockey and soccer for Central Dauphin and captained both teams her senior year. While she did not compete at the collegiate level, Leitzell continued to stay involved with the sport and athletics, generally. After graduating with Honors from Penn State University in the Spring of 2008, she began her tenure as a Social Studies teacher at Cumberland Valley High School. In 2014, Leitzell earned her Master’s Degree in Applied History from Shippensburg University. She currently teaches AP Human Geography, Current Global Issues, and SPARK class at the high school. She cannot wait for this season to begin!
