Alternate Bus Assignment/Child Care Notification

Transportation arrangements are made based upon the student's home location.  In order to have students transported to/from a site other than the home, the Request for Alternate Bus Assignment form must be completed and submitted a minimum of two weeks prior to the requested transportation start date.

Approval of the request is contingent upon the approval of the Director of Transportation and if the conditions listed below are followed and agreed upon by the parent/guardian.

·         As indicated in the Cumberland Valley School District Transportation Guidelines, all elementary grade level students will be given one morning and one afternoon stop. The morning stop can differ from the afternoon stop but must be consistent five days per week. There will be no multiple stops.

·         Transportation will be provided from the daycare provider to the child’s school as long as both are located in the child’s assigned attendance area. If the daycare is located outside the attendance area, the parent/guardian or provider is responsible for the student transportation to the child’s assigned school.

·         If the provider changes during the school year, a new request must be submitted for consideration. All requests are for the given year only. A new request must be submitted for each new school year.
