After graduating high school in 2009, she attended Shippensburg University to study accounting and play field hockey. As a Lady Raider she started and played her first three seasons and took a medical red-shirt her senior year. During her time at Shippensburg, the Raiders went to the 2010 NCAA Division II Final, two PSAC Championships, and made three NCAA Final Four appearances. Hooper was the 2009 PSAC West Rookie of the Year, a two time All-American, and a three time All-PSAC selection.  She has experience playing hockey in England, the Netherlands, Bermuda, Barbados, and Australia.  After graduating with her Bachelor degree in 2013, Taylor went back for her Masters in Business Administration, which she graduated with in 2014.  Coach Hooper is a Certified Public Accountant and works in New Cumberland.  She can't wait to see how CV field hockey can build on their successful season last year.

She was a 3 year starter and led the team in points her senior season. Coach Taylor was named to the A10 All Academic team in 2018 and was named A10 player of the week in 2019. After graduating from SFU with summa cum laude honors, Coach Taylor got a job at Cumberland Valley as a high school math teacher. She is thrilled to get to work in her Alma Mater district and is looking forward to another great year of field hockey!

Natalie Leitzell - Junior Varsity Coach
Coach Natalie (Fox) Leitzell is thrilled to return for her another season as coach of the Junior Varsity field hockey team. A Harrisburg native, Coach Leitzell spent her high school years playing field hockey and soccer for Central Dauphin and captained both teams her senior year. While she did not compete at the collegiate level, Leitzell continued to stay involved with the sport and athletics, generally. After graduating with Honors from Penn State University in the Spring of 2008, she began her tenure as a Social Studies teacher at Cumberland Valley High School. In 2014, Leitzell earned her Master’s Degree in Applied History from Shippensburg University. She currently teaches AP Human Geography, Current Global Issues, and SPARK class at the high school. From her first season involved with the team as CVFH’s unofficial “camera lady” in 2008 to today, Leitzell continues to be impressed by the spirit, passion, and dedication of CV’s field hockey players. She cannot wait for this season to begin!
